So We Leapt: Honoring the Journey of Guam’s Postwar Generation

History isn’t just something we read—it’s something we carry. So We Leapt: Para I Hinanao-ta Mo’na brings that idea to life through a powerful exhibition that honors Guam after liberation and the resilience of CHamoru WWII survivors.
Opening April 18, 2026, at the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum in Long Beach, this exhibit offers a deeply human look at the generation who endured war and helped rebuild their island. Through a blend of archival photographs and contemporary portraits, visitors are invited to witness not only the hardships of the past, but also the strength, culture, and enduring spirit that shaped Guam’s future.
Running through August 30, So We Leapt is more than an art exhibit—it’s a tribute to perseverance and a celebration of identity. Whether you have a personal connection to Guam or simply want to experience a powerful story of resilience, this is an exhibition worth visiting.
