As part of our commitment to language revitalization, we’re excited to share a new resource now available for free to our global community. In celebration of Earth Day, the Kumisión released a digital read-along version of Tinanumi, a CHamoru children’s book that blends cultural identity with environmental stewardship.

Tinanumi follows a young girl on a journey to understand the meaning of her name while learning how to plant, cultivate, and harvest in her family’s guålo’ (garden). Through this story, children are introduced to food sovereignty and our deep connection to the land.

10 downloadable worksheets with answer keys (A perfect tool for classrooms, families, and community programs).
