Known as the Banyan Tree in other parts of the world, the Nunu Tree is believed by some, to be one place that Taotaomo’na, the people of before, ancestral spirits might reside. Throughout history ancient Chamorros/CHamorus believed the world around them was full of spirits who provided both daily protection and assistance, but could also create dangers and problems.
